LESOSADBA Offer

Bare-root stock

Bare-root planting stock includes seedlings, transplants, and large plants of both generative and vegetative origin. These are grown in various substrates on nursery beds and are lifted with exposed roots for forest regeneration and reforestation purposes. This represents the traditional cultivation of forest tree species in open soil as well as in plastic greenhouses.

The plants can only be dispatched from the nursery during the period of dormancy – either in early spring before budding for spring reforestation, or in autumn during dormancy (after leaf fall for broadleaves, after growth cessation for conifers) for autumn reforestation.

Container-grown stock with air-pruning system – QuickPot® (QP)

d

We have been using this technology since 1993. The plants are grown using the so-called "air-pruning" method in specialized trays placed on cultivation frames. These trays are designed to meet strict requirements preventing root deformation. We utilize QuickPot® trays with various cell volumes.

This intensive cultivation technology reduces the growing period for broadleaves from the usual 2 years to 1 year, and for conifers from 2–5 years to 1.5–3 years. We offer the following specifications:

  • QP 40, QP 60

For growing larger plants (transplants), we use QuickPot® trays with larger cell volumes:

  • QP 4, QP 6, QP 12, QP 15
