Nursery Location
The nursery is located near Františkovy Lázně and Cheb in the village of Lužná. From the E48 road connecting Cheb and Pomezí nad Ohří, turn towards Libá about 4 km past Cheb. After 1.5 km, you will arrive in Lužná, where the nursery premises are situated.
Nursery Description
The center manages the following nurseries: Kaolinka, Hleďsebská, Hainberg, Seníky, Staré Polesí, Dřevěná, Velký Luh, Skalka, and Pomezná. The total area of the nurseries is 30 ha, of which 25 ha is the production area. These are mostly small nurseries with an area of up to 1 ha. The nurseries are situated at an altitude of 450–650 m above sea level.
The nursery facilities include workshops, a climate-controlled warehouse, and a production hall. All nursery areas are fenced. The nursery also utilizes numerous polytunnels and is equipped with a modern holding area for container-grown seedlings. LESOŠKOLKY s.r.o. took over the nurseries in Františkovy Lázně and Aš on January 1, 2006. The Františkovy Lázně nursery grows bare-root forest seedlings using complex seven-row technology, container-grown seedlings using air-pruning technology, and semi-saplings and saplings in containers. Due to its hardiness, the produced stock is highly suitable for higher altitudes.
