Nursery Location
The nursery is located east of Hradec Králové and Pardubice, 10 km from Holice. The office is situated about 1 km past Dolní Jelení in the direction of Malá Čermná, on the left side of the road.
Nursery Description
The enterprise manages the Dolní Jelení nursery. The total area of the nurseries is 20 ha, of which 18 ha is the production area. The nurseries are situated at an altitude of 300 m above sea level. The soil is light loamy-sand, which favorably supports the development of the seedlings' root systems.
The nursery facilities include workshops and a climate-controlled warehouse. The nurseries have their own irrigation system and are fenced to prevent browsing damage by wildlife. The nurseries in Dolní Jelení were established in the 1960s and 1970s by the East Bohemian State Forests directly within the forest environment. Our company has been managing the site since 1992.
The Dolní Jelení nursery produces bare-root forest seedlings using complex seven-row technology, as well as semi-saplings and saplings in containers.
